Advanced Clinical Mentorship

Fourth-year students can complete an optional advanced clinical mentorship (ACM) in the fourth year of medical school. Third year students can apply to enroll in an ACM in the second half of third year. The ACM consists of 12 weekly half-day sessions at a single outpatient site. One week of credit will be given for the ACM experience.

The ACM runs concurrently with clerkships and other electives. Proper planning and good communication with the course leaders of the other electives, as well as with the ACM faculty sponsor is essential. Note: if a student is also engaged in completing an elective course, course requirements in the elective take precedence over the ACM.

Below is a listing of ACMs that are formally offered. Students should contact the appropriate person listed below for availability and scheduling.
